Floor press is a chest press technique that lowers the injury risk on your shoulders. Lying on the floor will prevent you from lowering the weight too far, accomplishing two things:
1. Prevents loss of tension on the chest
2. Prevents unwanted stress through over stretching
This exercise can be done with either dumbbells or a bar, and you can also add in pauses on the floor to make the movement harder going from a dead stop, adding greater variety to your work in the gym.
